Veiko Lasting answered the Traveling Floater’s questions about floating and his tank in Estonia:

Where did you hear about floating first?
I was with my friend on seminar in Switzerland and was telling him that I have had an idea in my head from childhood to make a tank or room where you can stop all outside influences. He has read a lot and said that John Lilly has made this kind of tank. So I got home and started to research and now I have had the floating tank in Estonia for 7 years already.

What made you decide to open your own floating business?
To offer this sensory deprivation/relaxation of the mind and body to others.

What’s the best part about it?
To see the people’s faces when they have tea after the float and help people to relax and forget the everyday problems for some period of time.

How known is floatation therapy in your country?
Getting more popular.

What is being done to make it more known – what do you do?
Promoting through media (we have been in TV shows and promoted via radio)

How many tanks do you have?
At the moment one.

What’s different/unique about your center?
We have very nice and different atmosphere.

What makes people come to you?
They want to try new things and feel what it’s like to be without gravity.
We have also regular clients who come when they need to get rid of stress or relax.
The magnesium bath is also good if you have pain in muscles and joints, also after working out.
