Faces of Bogotá Photo Essay
In February 2018, I was lucky to spend about 9 days with my friend’s family in Colombia. I learned that
- Colombias are some of the happiest people I’ve ever come across,
- they are eager to show an outsider that their country has long passed the times of Pablo Escobar and white powder,
- that you don’t say no to abuelita because she’s the boss,
- that empenadas are delicious
- that you will stand out as a 1.78 m (5’10 ft) vegetarian
- they dance all night long like nobody’s watching .
Thank you to everyone who took me around and thank you to the following people who have agreed to let me take their picture. Enjoy the following portraits, in no particular order.
